Every time an artist releases a record, we feel like it will be the one to change our lives. As an artist, you’re always one record away from greatness. This is the mentality we must maintain in order to rationalize why we take on the varying forms of stress that go along with a new project. This is the mentality I had one year ago today. My third studio effort, “Forever From Here”, was released August 14th, 2012. Although the record hasn’t necessarily changed my life, it has changed the way I look at the record making process.
The release process for this record was very different than it’s predecessor. I didn’t release a single, or ads to promote it, and relied heavily on a grassroots effort to get the word out. I am very proud of “Forever From Here”, and do hope that if you haven’t checked it out, you will now. After all, it’s only been a year. There’s still plenty of life left in those 10 songs.
If you have enjoyed our work on FFH, I am very grateful.
